Making the decision to attend college can be a momentous event in a young person’s life. As the May 1 deadline approaches for students to commit to a school and accept scholarships and financial aid, NCHER will highlight #CollegeDecisionDay over a four-week period, spotlighting our members and the programs and services that they provide to students and families, and the good work that they do to promote students making the decision to go to college.

April 1: College Decision Day Kick-off

April 2: In 2018, 36 high schools in Iowa celebrated College Decision Day.

April 3: This year, 42 high schools in Iowa will celebrate College Decision Day.

April 4: PHEAA is proud of the hard work its team of Higher Ed Access Partners put forth.

April 5: Statewide, 140,000 full- and part-time students received grant assistance from PHEAA for the 2018-19 award year—and they aren't alone!

April 8: College Foundation of North Carolina reminds you that College Decision Day is May 1—where will you go?

April 9: It’s time to make one of the biggest decisions in your life. What college will you attend?

April 10: Trellis Company helps all students prepare for a successful college experience, including those who are just starting their college journey.

April 11: College Decision Day is May 1! Still sorting through your options? Visit for free resources to help you prepare for college.

April 12: The ECMC Scholars Program is a unique, rigorous, two-year mentoring program in the junior and senior years of high school where students obtain the skills and resources they need to realize their college goals.

April 16: This year 90 high schools registered to participate in #CollegeDecisionDay events across Kentucky, which will serve 16,415 seniors.

April 17: #CollegeDecisionDay has brought recognition to those students who have made a really big decision and encouraged others to do the same.

April 18: 11 Utah high school students received swag by sharing on social media what college or university they will attend this fall.

April 19: A college education changed the lives of some of UHEAA's staff members.

April 22: Be sure to only accept what you will ACTUALLY need in federal aid! 

April 23: Picking a school is just the first step, learn more about student loans before you go.
